Amanda Brugel

Brugel is the only Canadian on the show's cast in Season 1, was only occasionally was seen. But in Season 2 she became a series frequent and was a part of the cast ever since. As she discussed her role and the similarities with her daily life, she could be able to relate to the racism and negative treatment she's endured throughout her life. The actress said: "I lean heavily on race and, like I said, I've encountered situations where I felt like I was treated like the slave because I'm white." My race hasn't caused physical harm through my entire life, but the verbal abuse I've experienced. If someone's saying something hard or biting at me, I'll use any racial attacks that felt real for me. "I have this experience almost all the time, as it feels like she is always being hit at least once during every scene."
